There is a heart that speaks of living
In the quietspeak of the mind
Where talks of a promised land
Leads to a realized life;

There is a heart that speaks of living
Where foes disappear in the distance
Where the hearts of friends collide
On a round table with wine;

There is a heart that speaks of living
Where two people lie down
In twinkling stars, in colliding smiles
And when finally, two will soon be one.

There is but one heart, one world
One soul, one world
One universe that speaks
Of destiny and a future ---betold.

Succinct, and beautiful as always Kauban dearest.

"Bells that toll across the meadows" says Auden, "From the sombre spire
Toll for these unloving shadows
Love does not require.
All that lives may love: why longer
bow to loss
With Arms across?
Strike and you shall conquer."

PS. Pitsaleh is Yiddish for "little one" and a song by Elliott Smith. Sorry for the belated response :)

P.P.S. Truly many thanks for commending Erich Fromm's Art Of Loving, it's sufficiently interested me to order my own copy. As has Le Guin's The Dispossessed (considering I'm not too big on fiction other than classics).

Please by all means do recommend works you particularly enjoy.

Nothing beats depression than sticking one's nose in a good book
